Mission Statement

Our mission is to empathically and comprehensively teach individuals with chronic substance use disorders and/or compulsive pathological gambling addictions how to "build their lives around their recovery instead of building their recovery around their lives"® and lead accountable, responsible, productive, self-sufficient lives.

We accomplish our mission by providing innovative and individualized educational relapse prevention services, in conjunction with a highly-structured, sober, safe, and supportive living environment. Hope for Tomorrow, Inc. is committed to the belief that incorporating a holistic approach to the treatment of all addictive disorders produces an accountable, responsible, productive, and self-sufficient lifestyle.

Please Help Us Now, to Take Important Action!

and your local legislators today!

A list of proposed budget cuts includes:

$71 million in Department of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse and Department of Mental Health funds, broken down as follows:
• $43.3 — half of the state's funding for treatment services.
• $9 million DASA programs like jail diversion, domestic violence and work release
• $4.6 million reduction to grant programs and transportation
• $4.3 million for psychotropic medication and supportive housing
• $3.7 Children's Mental Health Partnership, children and adolescent programs
• $3 million in a proposal to increase DASA addiction services for 2009
• $2.7 million for the DASA welfare reform pilot project
• $1 million for transitional housing and employment services for homeless youth

$55 million substance abuse prevention and treatment plus $55 in federal matching grants, thereby cutting 85 percent of the prevention services and half of the treatment services.

Substance abuse treatment and prevention providers in Illinois are facing budget cuts that will have a catastrophic impact on future service delivery to the state's most vulnerable populations. These proposed budget cuts will decimate the substance abuse and prevention treatment system statewide. Existing facilities will be forced to discontinue programs and reduce staff, in some cases by 50%. Others will close their doors entirely, leaving thousands of individuals without any place to get help.
